World trip_4 (India)


Today, I introduce about India.

India, whose official name is Republic of India, is the second most populous country in the world after China. This country is also sometimes called Bharat, its ancient name. Its population as of 2001 is about 10.3 billion. Its area is 3,268,090 square km.
New Delhi is India's capital and Bombay its largest city. Bombay is now called more often as Mumbai.

☞ New Delhi area.

≪Qutab Minar≫ - The first Muslim Sultan of Delhi Qutab-ud-din's last Hindu kingdom of Delhi Chauhan dynasty to destroy the victory tower as a memorial is built. ≪Taj Mahal≫ - One of the Seven Wonders of the World. ≪Agra Fort≫ - Agra Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Agra, India. The fort is also known as Lal Qila, Fort Rouge and Red Fort of Agra. It is about 2.5 km northwest of its much more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city.
It is the most important fort in India. The great Mugals, Humayun, Akbar, Jehangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb lived here, and the country was governed from here. It contained the largest state treasury and mint. It was visited by foreign ambassadors, travelers and the highest dignitaries who participated in the making of history in India.
